PGA Golf Lessons in Oakdale, NY

Golf lessons on the Foresight Falcon, taught by PGA professionals.

New clubs are fun, but they are not always the fastest way to lower your scores. Our lessons run on the same Foresight Falcon we use for club fitting, so your progress shows up on the screen and in the numbers instead of in somebody's opinion.

  • PGA certified instructors
  • Foresight Falcon launch monitor bay
  • Lessons for beginners through low handicaps
  • Junior lessons available
Why we teach on the Falcon

Your swing, measured on every shot.

The Foresight Falcon captures more than a dozen points of ball and club data on each swing. It tracks how the club is delivered and what the ball actually does, then shows a true ball flight on the screen the moment you hit it. That changes what a lesson can accomplish in 30 minutes.

  • Ball speed
  • Launch angle
  • Spin rate and axis
  • Carry distance
  • Dispersion
  • Club path
  • Face angle
  • Strike location

The ball can fool you

A flawed swing can still send a ball where you aimed it once in a while. Club data shows what caused the shot, so you fix the cause instead of chasing one good result.

Feedback before your next swing

You see the numbers right away and connect what you felt to what happened. Your instructor can adjust on the spot instead of guessing from a ball landing 200 yards out.

Progress you can track

Carry, dispersion and strike numbers give you a baseline. From one lesson to the next, you can see what is improving and what still needs work.

No weather cancellations

Long Island ranges close or get miserable for months at a time. Indoors, your lesson schedule holds in January the same way it does in June.

Private and focused

A one-on-one bay means no crowd on the next mat and no pressure. Golfers tend to ask more questions and try more changes when nobody else is watching.

Play real holes

The simulator lets you take what you learned onto a virtual course, so you practice club selection and shot decisions, not just mechanics.

How a lesson works

A plan built around your game, schedule and budget.

Whether you want one session before a golf trip or a winter of steady work, the format stays simple.

01

Talk through your game

Your typical scores, your common misses and what you want to improve. A few minutes here makes the rest of the session count.

02

Hit on the Falcon

We capture a baseline of club and ball data so the conversation starts from numbers, not range-ball guesses.

03

Work on one or two changes

Your instructor picks the changes that will move your scores most and checks each one against the data as you hit.

04

Leave with a practice plan

You walk out knowing what to work on before your next session, and the numbers to compare against when you come back.

Questions golfers ask

Before you book a lesson

How much does a golf lesson cost at South Shore Golf?

A 30 minute private lesson is $75. A package of five 30 minute lessons is $325, which works out to $65 per lesson.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Lessons, fittings and simulator time all use the same Foresight Falcon bay, so every session is by appointment. Book online or call (631) 563-2025.

I'm a beginner. Are lessons right for me?

Yes. Starting with lessons is the easiest way to avoid building habits you will spend years trying to undo. Our instructors work with first-timers, juniors and low handicappers alike.

Will what I learn indoors carry over to the course?

The Falcon measures your real club delivery and ball flight, not an estimate, so the numbers you work on indoors are the same ones that shape your shots outside.

What should I bring?

Bring the clubs you play now and wear comfortable clothes and clean shoes. If something in your bag is holding you back, we will tell you.

Do you offer junior lessons?

Yes. Junior lessons and junior club fitting are available, and we also run PGA Junior League Golf for kids who want to play on a team.
